Meet Dr. Gavin Cohen
Dr. Gavin Cohen is the founder and owner of Oculare Personalized Eye Care, bringing decades of experience and a deeply personal approach to every patient. He earned his undergraduate degree from R.A.U. in 1993 with “Cum Laude” distinction and graduated from NECO in 1999. Dr. Cohen is board-certified and recognized for his expertise in graft versus host disease.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Cohen serves as a Board Emeritus at Prevent Blindness Georgia and has chaired annual charity golf tournaments for nonprofit organizations, reflecting his commitment to both the profession and the community. With over 25 years in the eye care industry, he combines extensive experience with a hands-on, personalized philosophy of care.
Patients appreciate Dr. Cohen’s attentive approach, which balances empathy, respect, and clarity. He takes the time to listen, explain diagnoses, and develop tailored treatments, ensuring every patient feels understood and supported.
Outside of the office, Dr. Cohen enjoys golf, photography, boating, skiing, reading, and travel, including at least one African safari each year. He is married with 2 children and values time spent with his family as much as he values time with his patients.
